Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) seeks a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer with a renewables focus to join its Sustainable Infrastructure team in Cork, Carlow or Dublin offices. The role offers exposure to wind, solar and BESS projects, including design, independent checking, design-build and Owners Engineer activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and Chartered Engineer status.
• 8 years post-graduate experience for the Senior position and 12 post-graduate experience for the Principal position.
• Experience in the design and delivery of infrastructure schemes in Ireland or the U.K.
• Delivery of renewables projects in Ireland or the U.K. is a plus.
• Experience in design and build projects is a plus.
• Multi-disciplinary design management experience.
• Experience engaging with clients, external stakeholders and sub-consultants.
• High-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills.
• Flexible and a good team player.
• Willing to travel to site visits and client meetings.
• Full Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

• Leading and participating in multi-disciplinary design teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to quality and budget.
• Supervising and mentoring senior and junior staff within the Sustainable Infrastructure Division.
• Preparation of designs, technical reports and tender documents for renewable projects.
• Planning and managing design work, working with Discipline Leads and Technicians.
• Ensuring compliance with quality assurance and health and safety requirements.
• Coordinating work with other project team members.
• Liaising with clients and stakeholders for the project.
