Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Practice Accountant / Senior Accountant in Kilkenny, Ireland, offering hybrid working and a clear path to Manager or Director levels. You will manage accounts preparation and statutory reporting for a regional client base including SMEs and owner-managed businesses.

You will also lead tax compliance, cloud accounting support, budgeting advice, and client advisory work, mentoring junior staff and guiding ACA/ACCA trainees.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent).
• 2–4 years in a practice accountancy firm.
• Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP (FRS 102/102A) and Irish tax rules.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts preparation and statutory financial reporting for SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
• Handle Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT, PAYE/PRSI, and RCT computations and filings.
