Job summary

IT Search is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for Market Risk Technology in Dublin with hybrid work arrangements. You will modernise core risk systems, write Python automation, and tune databases while collaborating with multiple teams to close remediation work.

The role requires deep Java (Spring Boot) and Python experience, plus solid database tuning skills. Financial markets background and UI experience with React are strong advantages.

Qualifications

• This role expects deep Java and Python experience across real systems.
• Proven track record delivering remediation or upgrade projects.
• Comfort discussing with senior stakeholders and cross-team coordination.
• Experience with React or similar UI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on engineering: modernising Java apps to Spring Boot microservices; Python automation; SQL tuning.
• Remediation delivery: drive closures, upgrades, and compliance fixes end-to-end.
• Cross-team orchestration: influence and coordinate 10+ teams without formal reporting lines.
