Job summary

Fivetran, Inc. in Dublin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dbt Platform Services team. You will build and maintain scalable services to power the dbt Cloud platform, collaborating with product, security, and QA to deliver robust APIs and experiences.

You'll work on modern stacks including Python, Go, React, and cloud technologies, with a hybrid work model requiring two days in the office weekly to collaborate with teammates across the globe.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining API-driven services.
• Strong background in scalable, secure software design.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain stable, scalable foundational services for the dbt platform.
• Collaborate with product, security, and QA to deliver robust experiences.
• Design and evolve APIs with REST and/or gRPC, ensuring reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote platform security practices.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure quality.
• Balance delivery speed with reusable, scalable components.
