Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Principal Platform Architect to lead enterprise-wide infrastructure architecture across Hybrid and Cloud environments. You will set the strategic direction for AI-enabled platforms, drive architectural governance, and mentor a global team of engineers and architects.

You will own end-to-end design for secure, scalable, and observable enterprise systems, partnering with CTO, Security, and Product teams to deliver strategic infrastructure solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure and cloud architecture.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise architecture reviews, TADs, and multi-program design efforts.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on experience with AI platforms and AI governance, observability, guardrails, and responsible AI frameworks.
• Architect enterprise AI platforms including Claude Code, Bedrock, and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state architectures and modernization roadmaps for Hybrid and Cloud infrastructure.
• Lead architecture reviews, design approvals, and governance across CTO, Security, SRE, and Engineering.
• Architect secure AI and Cloud solutions aligned to enterprise security policies.
• Mentor engineers and architects, publish reference designs and patterns.
• Influence technology strategy and modernization investments at scale.
