Job summary

Dawn Meats is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter for its Kildare town production site. The role provides technical and problem-solving support for the plant and maintenance teams.

The successful candidate will be based at the primary production plant in Kildare town, joining a busy maintenance/engineering environment and contributing to safe, efficient operations. Overtime and on-call duties are expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Time-served Mechanical, Automation & Maintenance Fitter (MAMF) with relevant apprenticeship.
• Experience with machines & process equipment, controls & automation.
• Experience in electrical & mechanical installations, maintenance and refrigeration systems.
• Good written and oral communication skills; ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Supports and executes plant maintenance strategies to achieve KPIs.
• Assists production to meet schedules and resolve issues quickly.
• Inspects operating machines for conformity with standards.
• Carry out work orders in a timely and safe manner per procedures.
• Upload job details to handheld field devices on completion.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of site mechanical equipment.
• Complete all paperwork in full.
• Follow Health and Safety rules and SOPs on site.
• Flexibility to work overtime and on-call shifts.
