Job summary

O’Neill and Brennan is seeking a Senior Planner to lead planning and project controls for Cork-based projects, setting standards and ensuring consistency across pre-construction and construction phases.

The successful candidate will manage baseline programmes, 4D modelling, risk mitigation, and provide leadership to planning teams, including mentoring junior planners, with strong NEC/JCT contract knowledge and BIM collaboration experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading planning and project controls across pre-construction and construction phases.
• Knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts and BIM collaboration.
• Advanced ASTA Powerproject skills including reporting and resource management.
• Ability to set standards and mentor junior planners.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and management of baseline programmes for design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Produce and maintain target programmes, tenders, and subcontractor schedules.
• Develop 4D models and 2D phasing plans to demonstrate sequencing and logistics.
• Identify programme risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Track progress and maintain as-built programmes in a CDE with variances.
• Provide leadership and coordinate planning teams; mentor juniors and present updates.
