Job summary

Entrust is seeking a Senior Planner to join our Galway team. The successful candidate will manage renewable energy planning applications and supervise junior planners in a busy, dynamic environment.

Hybrid or remote working is available, with office presence in Galway as needed. You will provide expert guidance on Irish planning legislation, write planning reports, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the company’s growth by building strong client relationships and delivering

Qualifications

• 5-8 years' relevant planning experience, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
• A recognised (IPI or RTPI) planning qualification.
• To independently manage and deliver planning projects, maintain strong client relationships and contribute to the continuing commercial and professional growth of the company.
• Strong working knowledge of the Irish planning system, planning legislation and development management processes.
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent report writing skills.
• Solution focused attitude.
• Strong project management skills with ability to deliver to project deadlines.
• Excellent presentation and communications skills.
• Strong analytical, research and report-writing skills.
• Leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop junior colleagues.
• Highly motivated and ambitious in fast paced working environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate a wide range of renewable energy planning applications and strategic development projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, engineers, environmental consultants, transport consultants and other specialist advisors.
• Provide expert advice on Irish planning legislation, policy and development management procedures.
• Writing planning reports for Planning Authorities.
• Working collaboratively with clients, colleagues and external consultants.
• Ability to analyse planning policy and make recommendations to clients and colleagues.
• Liaising with Planning Authorities and other statutory bodies.

Entrust is a well established planning and environmental consultancy since 2008, specialising in infrastructure, primarily renewable energy and wireless telecommunications. We operate across Ireland and the UK from our offices in Galway and Liverpool. Our office in Galway has a requirement for a F/T or P/T Senior Planner working within the office, hybrid or remote working. The role will involve managing a number of infrastructure planning applications as well as overseeing the planning work of our junior planners, amongst many other tasks in a busy and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
