Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Planner for structural steel projects in Dublin. You will own and develop contract and project programmes, coordinating with project managers, engineers and site teams to ensure schedules are realistic and aligned with commercial goals.

This role offers exposure to high-value structural steel programmes across Ireland, with a strong pipeline of live contracts and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years' planning experience in construction or structural steel environments.
• Proficiency with ASTA Powerproject, Primavera P6, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and development of contract and project programmes for structural steel projects.
• Own and maintain detailed project schedules across multiple live contracts.
• Produce monthly progress reports covering milestones, resources and productivity.
• Monitor project trends and provide insight to support strategic decision-making.
• Support tender submissions with planning input and scheduling data.
• Conduct planning reviews and identify programme risks and delays.
• Evaluate construction methodologies to support continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, site teams, clients and subcontractors.
• Provide schedule risk analysis and mitigation recommendations.

With a strong pipeline of secured work and multiple live contracts, this is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Planner to take ownership of project programmes, improve visibility of project performance, and play a central role in driving delivery certainty across multiple sites.

You will:

What We\'re Looking For

Essential:

• Third-level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years\' experience in a planning role within construction or structural steel environments
• Strong working knowledge of ASTA Powerproject, Primavera P6, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
• Proven experience developing and managing complex project programmes
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams

Desirable:

• Experience in structural steel or heavy engineering environments
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
• Experience in schedule risk analysis and performance reporting systems
