Job summary

Dornan Engineering Group, based in Cork, Ireland, invites applications for a Senior Piping Engineer to support projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe. The role involves design to on-site installation, piping stress analysis, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to optimise routing and interfaces.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in piping engineering, strong Caesar II skills, and knowledge of ASME B31.1/B31.3.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer with 10+ years of experience.
• Strong piping engineering and pipe stress analysis experience.
• Proficient in Caesar II or equivalent piping analysis software.
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.1/B31.3; EN 13480 desirable.
• Experience with pipe support design and equipment nozzle load assessment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting projects from design through to on-site installation.
• Performing piping stress and flexibility analysis using Caesar II or equivalent.
• Developing piping stress models, pipe supports and restraints, and assessing equipment nozzle loads.
• Working closely with designers and engineering disciplines to optimise pipe routing, supports and interfaces.
• Developing/reviewing piping specifications, calculations and technical documentation.
• Liaising with vendors, subcontractors and specialist designers.
• Identifying value engineering opportunities and providing practical design solutions.
• Providing technical leadership, mentoring and support to junior engineers.
• Ensuring work meets project, quality, safety and engineering standards.

Senior Piping Engineer

Dornan Engineering Group is aleading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in our Cork Head Office, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Engineering Team as a Senior Piping Engineer,supporting the delivery of our projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

Your day will include:

• Supporting projects from design through to on-site installation.
• Performing piping stress and flexibility analysis using Caesar II or equivalent.

About You
