Senior Pharmacy Technician, Primary Care
NHS Fife has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Primary Care Pharmacy Team.
Based at Stratheden Hospital, Cupar, this role is undertaken primarily within the 11 GP practices across North East Fife. The successful candidate will support the delivery and ongoing development of safe, effective and person-centred pharmacotherapy services, working directly with GP practice teams, patients and other health and care professionals.
Regular travel between GP practices, including travel between locations during the working day, is an essential part of this role. Applicants must be able to demonstrate how they will travel independently, reliably and efficiently between the 11 GP practices to meet the operational requirements of the service.
Applicants must also have post-registration experience working specifically within a Primary Care GP General Practice setting. Although experience gained within community pharmacy is valuable, community pharmacy experience alone will not meet this essential requirement. The successful candidate must already have relevant practical experience of working directly within General Practice systems, processes and multidisciplinary teams.
You will be expected to manage and prioritise your workload across different GP practices, working with a high degree of autonomy while recognising when advice, support or escalation is required.
The role may also include line management responsibilities, depending on the requirements of the service. You will help to maintain high and consistent standards of practice, support staff development and contribute to induction, training, mentoring and service improvement activity
