Job description

Our client is an innovative, fast-growing deep-tech company operating across Ireland and internationally. As the organisation continues to scale, they are looking to appoint a Senior People & Culture Manager to take ownership of the people function and play a key role in shaping the next stage of the company's growth.

This is a high-autonomy, hands-on role where you will have significant influence across the business. Working closely with senior leadership and managers, you will build on the strong foundations already in place while ensuring the people strategy, culture and employee experience continue to evolve as the organisation grows.

This is a particularly people-focused role and will suit an experienced HR professional who enjoys being close to the business, coaching and influencing managers, and having the autonomy to make a real impact.

Hybrid | South Dublin | Permanent

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the day-to-day People & Culture function, acting as a trusted partner to employees, managers and senior leadership.
  • Partner closely with managers, many of whom are developing their leadership experience, providing practical coaching, guidance and support to help them become confident and effective people leaders.
  • Coach and influence managers on performance, feedback, employee relations, development, communication and best practice.
  • Champion the company's strong culture and employee experience, ensuring these remain central as the organisation grows.
  • Build strong relationships across a highly skilled workforce working within an innovative and technically complex environment.
  • Develop and continuously improve HR policies, processes, frameworks and documentation to support the company's continued growth.
  • Own the employee lifecycle from onboarding and probation through to development, progression, role changes and offboarding.
  • Support the development and implementation of performance, development and career frameworks, providing managers with the tools and guidance they need.
  • Ensure HR practices are compliant with Irish employment legislation and appropriate across international jurisdictions.
  • Oversee HR operations across multiple countries, working closely with external legal, payroll, benefits and HR partners.
  • Partner with hiring managers on recruitment, workforce planning and onboarding as the organisation continues to grow.
  • Work with external recruitment partners where required and ensure a consistent, high-quality candidate and onboarding experience.
  • Support international hiring, relocations, work permits and cross-border employee matters.
  • Partner with Finance and senior leadership on headcount planning, compensation, budgets and annual HR cycles.
  • Use people data and insight to identify trends and support informed decision-making across the organisation.
About You

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who combines strong technical HR knowledge with excellent people and relationship-building skills.

You will ideally have:

  • 5+ years' progressive HR / People Operations experience, ideally within a fast-paced technology, R&D, deep-tech or scaling environment.
  • Experience working in a matrix or multi-country organisation, with the ability to operate effectively across different teams, functions and jurisdictions.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experience working with international teams and coordinating HR activity across multiple countries.
  • Proven experience coaching, developing and influencing managers, including those who may be relatively new to people management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels.
  • Strong judgement and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive employee matters.
  • A highly hands-on and pragmatic approach, with the ability to balance operational delivery with longer-term people initiatives.
  • The confidence to work autonomously, prioritise effectively and operate comfortably in an evolving environment.
  • Experience developing, implementing and improving HR processes and frameworks.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
The Person

Getting the right person into this role is extremely important. We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about people and culture and who will thrive in an environment where relationships, trust and engagement are highly valued.

You will be a confident HR professional who can coach, influence and challenge, rather than simply provide HR advice. You will enjoy working closely with managers, helping them develop their leadership capability and supporting them to get the best from their teams.

You will also be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and taking ownership of whatever needs to be done. This is an organisation where you will have significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape and influence the People & Culture function as the business continues to grow.

If you are looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact, work with highly skilled people in an exciting technology environment and help shape the people agenda for the next stage of growth, we would love to hear from you.
