Job summary

Northern Trust in Limerick is recruiting a Senior Consultant for the Private Equity Fund Accounting team. You will lead the team, review outputs, manage workloads, and ensure delivery aligns with service levels, while maintaining a strong client service focus.

The role emphasizes leadership, regulatory knowledge, and process improvement to deliver accurate NAVs, valuations, and client reporting with high standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with extensive post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS.
• Understanding of Irish regulatory and tax requirements relevant to fund accounting.
• Experience in, or strong interest in, Private Equity Fund Administration.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong client service mindset.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise, multitask, and work to tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
• Experience driving efficiencies and automation in processes.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and confidently at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Review team output and deadlines to ensure SLAs are met.
• Provide leadership across the Private Equity team.
• Oversee NAVs and valuations reviews.
• Enhance client reporting processes and identify improvements.
• Coach and support team members to high performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting deadlines.
• Assist in offshore team development and process automation (Investran).
• Support onboarding of new clients and reporting requirements.
• Maintain strong risk awareness and internal controls.
• Act as primary contact for clients and external auditors.
