Job summary

Google Ireland, Dublin, is seeking an experienced Data Center Control Engineer to lead OT networking and infrastructure projects across global data centers. You will design, test, and implement secure networking solutions for industrial control systems, contributing to reliable, scalable, and energy-efficient facilities.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, review new infrastructure initiatives, and drive lifecycle from design through deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/CS or related field.
5 years of experience managing the technical design and implementation of OT infrastructure and networking.
Experience in industrial control system architecture for network segmentation, and standard protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, OPC, IEC 61850).

Responsibilities

Develop scope and requirements for networking initiatives to drive design, implementation, testing of secure OT solutions.
Review new control system infrastructure initiatives, embedding networking requirements into lifecycle from design to deployment.
Serve as technical liaison between cross-functional teams to resolve complex design and deployment challenges.
Perform sustaining and lifecycle activities for networking solutions and OT components.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to mature the OT environment and reduce risk.
