Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a Red Hat OpenShift Engineer to join our Dublin team. You will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale OCP environments, bridging application development and infrastructure with GitOps and CI/CD.

The role requires hands-on OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), plus collaboration with IT and development teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience managing production Kubernetes or OpenShift environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Preferred Redhat OCP certification

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, upgrade, and maintain multi-cluster Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x) environments.
• Design, develop, and deploy Java applications in containerized environments using Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Manage cloud-native deployment workflows using Argo CD (OpenShift GitOps) and integrate them with enterprise CI/CD systems.
• Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Participate along with Technical Lead in application design and create technical documentation like flow diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues like database performance, database capacity, replication, and other data-related issues.
• Optimize process for speed and efficiency, addressing bottlenecks, and ensuring the application can handle the volume, velocity, and variety of data.
• Work with clients to deliver scalable and maintainable code.
• Understand the infrastructure requirements needed for the application.
• Work on developing streamlined CI/CD process for application development.
