Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd in Galway, Ireland seeks a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 for the Oncology Oral Chemo Unit. The role is full-time and permanent, leading an oncology team in a hospital setting with responsibility for patient pathways and clinical governance.

Qualifications

• Be registered in the General Division of the Live Register of Nurses with a current NMBI PIN.
• Hold NFQ Level 8 Nursing qualification (BSc).
• Postgraduate qualification in Oncology Nursing (NFQ Level 9).
• Complete NCCP Oral Anti-Cancer Medicines Training or be currently undertaking it.
• Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, including 3 years in oncology/SACT settings.
• Demonstrated clinical leadership and governance experience.
• Willingness to undertake management training as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the oncology patient pathway for oral therapies.
• Provide advanced clinical triage and escalation for SACT toxicities.
• Oversee OAM operations and Infusion Clinic staffing and scheduling.
• Coordinate with consultants, pharmacists and GPs for safe med management.
• Lead audits, risk management and quality improvement aligned to standards.
