Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is seeking an Offshore Control Room Operations Engineer for a major offshore wind project in Ireland. The role requires extensive experience in power system operations, commissioning and operational readiness, with strong emphasis on control room procedures and interface management.

You will develop policies, oversee real-time decision support, and coordinate with SCADA/OT teams to ensure safe and efficient offshore operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or equivalent. Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Chartered Engineer status and full professional registration.
• Safe Pass certification is required or equivalent.
• Valid driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain offshore control room operating policies, procedures and training materials.
• Support signal and data management for control room systems and associated assets.
• Define operational readiness requirements, escalation paths and acceptance criteria.
• Lead stakeholder engagement to ensure control room interfaces meet specifications.
• Contribute to human-machine interface requirements and alarm presentation standards.
