Job summary

Sun Life Financial Ireland is seeking a Senior Red Team Operator to lead the offensive security lifecycle across planning, execution, reporting and remediation.

You will coordinate red team exercises, drive adversary emulation, ensure engagement governance, and map findings to MITRE ATT&CK while collaborating with security, engineering and risk teams. The role requires 5–7 years in cyber security and a university degree; certifications like SANS/CEH/CISSP are valued.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years’ experience in operational Cyber Security roles.
• Degree in computer science, computer engineering or computer security.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of information security concepts and trends.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end offensive security lifecycle from planning to closure.
• Define and improve offensive security processes and playbooks.
• Coordinate Red Team exercises, adversary emulation and purple teaming.
• Provide delivery oversight for Red Team assessments and detection validation.
• Ensure engagements follow approved rules of engagement and risk constraints.
• Support Purple Team activities and map findings to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Audit and assist regulatory reviews with evidence and artifacts.
• Build strong working relationships with security, engineering and risk teams.
