Job summary

Allied Health/Nursing is seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join an Adult Primary Care Team in South Dublin. The role focuses on community-based care for adults 18+, promoting independence and quality of life through assessments and bespoke interventions.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team in clinic and home settings, providing comprehensive therapy, developing treatment plans, and supporting clients in daily living activities. A car is required for visits.

Qualifications

• A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• CORU registration or eligibility.
• Minimum of three years’ full-time post-qualification clinical experience.
• Experience working with adults in a community, primary care or relevant clinical setting.
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and care-planning skills.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
• Access to a car is required for community and domiciliary visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions for adults within a primary care setting.
• Assess functional abilities and identify supports to promote independence in daily living.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on clients’ needs and goals.
• Recommend equipment, adaptations and strategies to support safe and independent living.
• Carry out home assessments and domiciliary visits where required.
• Work collaboratively with the MDT and other community health professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and support ongoing service development at Senior Grade level.
