Job summary

St. Luke’s Home is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our management team. The role offers an opportunity to lead clinical care, support the nursing team and drive quality improvements in a person-centred environment.

You will work with the Director of Nursing to maintain high standards and provide staff development opportunities. The post holder will oversee residential and day care operations, ensure residents’ safety, privacy and dignity, and promote evidence-based

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with active registration
• Minimum 3 years’ CNM II level experience or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated leadership, clinical and communication skills
• Calm, supportive management style with confidentiality and ethics

Responsibilities

• Organise and manage residential and day care operations, maintaining high care standards
• Provide clinical and managerial leadership and develop an integrated nursing team
• Ensure residents’ safety, privacy and dignity in all activities
• Be proactive in implementing HIQA standards and quality improvements
• Provide on-call managerial cover and deputise for the Director of Nursing when required
