Job summary

Kate Cowhig International Recruitment is recruiting an Assistant Director of Nursing in elderly care homes in Co. Clare. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and is part of the senior management team, providing clinical leadership and supervision of day-to-day practices.

There is no sponsorship available; candidates must have the right to work in Ireland. Collaboration with the DON and Healthcare Manager is essential for governance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Active NMBI registration as an RGN (Pin number).
• 3+ years' experience in an Older Person Care setting within the last 6 years.
• Management or supervisory experience desirable; commitment to undertaking management qualification essential.
• Strong communication, organisational and IT skills; commitment to continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversee day-to-day clinical practices in the home.
• Roster staff, delegate tasks, and supervise team members.
• Oversee performance, development, clinical governance and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with the DON and Healthcare Manager as part of the senior management team; deputise for the DON when required.
