Job summary

Isla Health is seeking a Senior Node.js & Cloud Engineer to join our remote-first engineering team in Ireland. You’ll design, scope, build and deploy features for our Digital Pathway Platform, working closely with product and client facing teams to ship fast and learn quickly.

You’ll own end-to-end services in production, focus on scalable backend systems, and mentor colleagues while advancing DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and software best practices across the platform.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Node.js applications with TypeScript and API integration.
• Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Proven unit testing experience with Jest in a backend environment.
• Strong collaboration across product, design and frontend teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy features for the Digital Pathway Platform.
• Own production services, monitor and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with product/design to deliver user-focused solutions.
• Support and improve cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
