Job summary

Code Plus Ltd. in Dublin 2 is seeking a Senior Level .NET Developer for a hybrid, contract role on a Farm-Assurance Platform rebuild. Immediate start on a rolling 6‑month contract, with on‑site presence three days per week.

Senior Level .NET Developer (Contract) - Farm-Assurance Platform Rebuild

About the project

We're building a new farm-assurance and quality-audit platform to replace a long-standing scheme-by-scheme system, consolidating multiple certification schemes onto a single universal standard. It's a full rebuild: one application, one data model, each capability implemented once and configured per scheme/scope rather than duplicated.

• .NET 10 (LTS), API-first modular monolith
• ASP.NET Core with server-rendered Razor front-end
• Entity Framework Core, code-first migrations
• .NET MAUI (Android) for offline-capable field data capture

This is a business-critical system supporting tens of thousands of members and tens of thousands of audits a year, with real integration and data-migration complexity (legacy scheme databases, third-party APIs, scheduled/batch processing, document and notification generation).

What you'll be doing

• Building out application modules (audit lifecycle, scheduling, review and closeout workflows, certification and renewals, or specialised areas such as sustainability, fees, or photo verification) within an API-first modular monolith
• Working across the Razor front-end and EF Core data layer
• Implementing background/worker-tier processing (scheduled jobs, notifications, document generation) via a durable job scheduler
• Contributing to integration work against third-party and partner APIs
• Participating in code review, automated testing, and CI/CD-gated releases
• Working from user stories and acceptance criteria, with existing legacy system behaviour used as the reference specification

What we're looking for:

Required:

• 3–5+ years' commercial experience with C# / .NET
• Solid working knowledge of ASP.NET Core (Razor Pages or MVC)
• Practical experience with Entity Framework Core (or a comparable ORM) and relational databases (SQL Server / Azure SQL)
• Comfortable working with Git, code review workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
• Able to work independently against user stories/acceptance criteria and collaborate closely with a distributed team
• Eligible to work in Ireland and available for hybrid on-site work

Nice to have:

• .NET MAUI or other cross-platform mobile experience
• Experience with offline-first / sync-based mobile data capture
• Background in regulated, compliance-heavy, or audit/certification domains
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs (OAuth2, SOAP/REST, batch file exchange)
