Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Game Designer based in Ireland to lead the design of complex features for a live mobile game.

You will shape progression systems, events, combat updates, and new characters from concept to data implementation, balancing gameplay and player engagement. The role partners with art, engineering, production, and design to sustain a high-quality content pipeline in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Proven game or content design experience in live, hero-driven mobile or free-to-play games.
• Strong understanding of game systems, balance, player motivation, and F2P mechanics.
• Hands-on experience with Unity and internal game content tools.
• Analytical mindset using data, player feedback, and gameplay outcomes to refine designs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex design concepts and influence stakeholders with evidence-based reasoning.
• Strong prioritization with an impact-focused approach.
• Growth mindset; willing to experiment, learn from failure, and iterate quickly.
• Collaborative attitude and openness to feedback.
• Curiosity, humility, and proactive learning.
• Structured approach to SMART objectives.
• Deep passion for mobile games.
• Extensive knowledge of the Transformers universe is a plus.
• Experience designing live-operations calendars (events, sales, battle passes) is desirable.
• Experience working with external art or development outsourcing partners is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of complex features and content from high-level concepts through final implementation.
• Architect and implement gameplay systems to support long-term engagement.
• Analyze and refine the game economy, loops, and combat meta for balance and depth.
• Use data, feedback, and forecasting to evaluate designs and guide improvements.
• Create high-level design documentation explaining purpose, mechanics, and outcomes.
• Present and defend design concepts to stakeholders using data and insights.
