Job summary

LemFi, the Irish-regulated payments group, is seeking a designated MLRO to own the Irish AML/CFT programme end to end. You will report to the Compliance Leadership team and act as the face of LemFi with the Central Bank of Ireland and FIU Ireland.

You will manage STRs, regulatory filings, audits, and licensing obligations, collaborate with global compliance, and leverage AI to draft policy documents with rigorous self-validation, helping the business stay compliant while scaling across Europe.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in a senior compliance or MLRO role in Irish/EU-regulated financial services.
• Direct PCF or CF designation experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Criminal Justice Acts 2010–2021, CBI AML/CFT, and EU directives.
• Proven regulatory engagement with Central Bank of Ireland or equivalent.
• Experience mentoring compliance staff and driving operational improvements in a live, regulated environment.
• Strong analytical skills with comfort handling data and board-ready reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; translate regulatory text into business guidance.
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving, evolving regulatory/business environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the Irish AML/CFT programme end to end including policy, procedures, and training.
• Act as designated MLRO (PCF52) and manage STRs reporting.
• Lead liaison with Central Bank of Ireland, FIU Ireland, and banking partners.
• Oversee AML/CFT audits and remediation tracking.
• Prepare board-level MI and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with global compliance to embed Irish rules in the group framework.
• Use AI tools to accelerate drafting of regulatory documents with self-validation.
