Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Expert to author high-fidelity reasoning traces that teach language models to plan and act reliably. This fully remote hourly contract role is designed for senior ML practitioners who want intellectually stimulating work at the frontier of AI development.

You will design structured decision pathways, mentor tracing work, and contribute data strategies to improve model reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in ML/AI research.
• Ability to decompose complex problems into clear steps.
• Familiarity with LLM evaluation and training methodologies.
• Precise, structured thinking and good documentation.

Responsibilities

• Author high-fidelity reasoning traces guiding LLM planning, tool use and decisions.
• Design and document structured decision pathways with clear steps from problem to solution.
• Review and mentor reasoning trace work for quality and consistency.
• Develop data strategies to help LLMs navigate real-world reasoning challenges.
• Contribute to training data to improve model reliability.
