Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Mathematics Researcher (Masters/PhDs) to develop, solve, and evaluate advanced mathematical content for AI training. This fully remote, hourly contract role offers 10–40 hours per week and requires a Master’s or PhD in mathematics with strong coding in Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica.

You will work independently to advance rigorous mathematical reasoning in AI systems. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge in algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics,

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field.
• Strong command of algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research.
• Exceptional written communicator — you can explain complex ideas with precision and clarity.
• Detail-oriented, rigorous, and self-directed when working independently.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, solve, and critically review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance.
• Apply deep expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related areas to design complex, rigorous problem statements.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to strengthen AI model reasoning.
• Ensure mathematical precision, clarity, and depth across all deliverables.
• Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule.
