HRM Search Partners has partnered with a leading international manufacturing organisation headquartered in Dublin to recruit a Senior Microsoft Dynamics AX Developer. You will lead AX developments, customisations, and integrations across core manufacturing and supply chain modules, translating business needs into scalable X++ code.

Based in Dublin, you will engage with global teams, maintain ALM governance, and support EU/US sites with complex AX solutions and performance tuning.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics AX development and architecture customisations (AX 2009, 2012 R2/R3).
• Translate business requirements into technical design specifications for AX implementations.
• Strong experience with MorphX, X++, AOT, and Security Framework.
• Proven ability to design robust integrations with MES, ERP tools, and cloud services.

Responsibilities

HRM Search Partners has partnered with a leading international manufacturing organisation headquartered in Dublin, with operations spanning Europe and North America.

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Dynamics AX Developer to join their global ERP and technology engineering team. In this role, you will lead complex AX developments, customisations, system enhancements, and integrations across core manufacturing, supply chain, and operational modules. Working within a multi-site environment, you will translate business requirements into clean, scalable X++ code and maintain the technical integrity of enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Development & Customisation: Design, develop, and deploy robust customisations, modifications, and extensions within Microsoft Dynamics AX using X++, MorphX, and Application Object Tree (AOT).
• Technical Integration: Build and maintain high-performance integrations between Dynamics AX, manufacturing execution systems (MES), enterprise reporting tools, third-party logistics platforms, and cloud services (AIF, DIXF, Web Services/APIs).
• System Optimisation: Perform detailed code reviews, root-cause defect analysis, performance tuning, and database optimisation across high-volume SQL Server environments.
• Requirements Mapping: Collaborate with solution architects, functional consultants, business analysts, and global operational leads to translate manufacturing workflow needs into technical design specifications.
• Release & Governance: Maintain technical documentation, manage version control, adhere to structured application lifecycle management (ALM) processes, and support environment builds and transport deployment.
• L3 Technical Support: Provide high-tier technical troubleshooting, debugging, and escalation management for critical production platform customisations across EU and US manufacturing sites.
• AX Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX development, modification, and architecture customisations (Dynamics AX 2009, 2012 R2/R3).
• Technical Mastery: Deep mastery of X++, MorphX environment, AOT, Security Framework, Application Integration Framework (AIF), Data Import Export Framework (DIXF), and SSRS reporting.
• Language & Communication: C1/C2 Professional English Proficiency (IELTS 8+ equivalent) with excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating across international operational teams.
• Database & SQL: Strong proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL query writing, stored procedures, index tuning, and database layer troubleshooting.
• Development Practices: Demonstrated track record in software engineering best practices, design patterns, testing, object-oriented programming (OOP), and release management.
• Desirable Qualifications & Experience
• Experience operating within global Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Process/Industrial operations.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MB-500: Microsoft Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer or legacy AX Technical Certifications).
