Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in Ireland is seeking a Microbiology professional to perform a range of testing activities to support product release and site compliance. You will conduct water sampling, endotoxin testing, sterility testing, and related assays.

You will draft SOPs, CAPAs, and technical reports, trend and investigate OOS results, and support validation of lab equipment while ensuring adherence to cGMP and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, or related discipline.
• Minimum 12 months' experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience in aseptic pharmaceutical production.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and GMP.
• Experience with environmental monitoring and sterile operations.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to investigate and resolve microbiological issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing activities to support product release and site compliance.
• Conduct water sampling, endotoxin testing, growth promotion, in-process, sterility, APET, and antibiotic assays.
• Generate accurate technical reports and test documentation.
• Draft and maintain SOPs, protocols, training materials, CAPAs and deviations.
• Trend and analyze microbiological data and investigate OOS results.
• Support validation and qualification activities for laboratory equipment and test methods.
• Ensure all activities comply with cGMP, regulatory requirements, and site quality standards.
