Job summary

Viatris in Ireland is seeking a Microbiology Laboratory Technician II to perform day-to-day microbiological testing (raw materials, in-process and finished products) and environmental monitoring, with GMP documentation and data recording.

You will conduct bioburden and endotoxin tests, identify microorganisms to species level, support qualification and stability programs, and train team members in procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science (preferably Microbiology) with 2-4 years’ pharma Microbiology experience.
• Ability to perform Sterility, Bioburden and Endotoxin testing.
• Knowledge of USP and Ph. Eur. microbiological requirements.
• Experience in FDA/HPRA regulated facilities.

Responsibilities

• Testing of raw materials, in-process & finished products, waters and validation samples for bioburden.
• Testing of materials for endotoxin using Gel Clot or Kinetic assays.
• Testing of finished products and components for sterility.
• Environmental monitoring of classified areas and compressed gases.
• Identification of microorganisms to species level.
• Growth promotion and sterility testing of microbiological media.
• Support the process qualification and stability programs.
• Prepare and review lab data and reports.
