Job summary

Danone Specialized Nutrition is launching a greenfield liquid nutrition facility in Ireland and seeks an MES Engineer to design, implement, and maintain MES/MOM, SCADA, and IT/OT infrastructure at the site. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams locally and globally and with external system integrators to deliver validated, seamless integrations between MES, SAP/ERP and other systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation, Electrical, Control, Computer of Industrial IT Engineering or equivalent Technical discipline.
10+ years' experience in food, beverage, specialized nutrition or regulated manufacturing.
Strong MES/MOM expertise covering design, workflows, and system integration.
Experience leading third-party suppliers, integrators, OEMs and vendors.
Automation expertise with OT infrastructure and cybersecurity knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead design, integration, testing, validation and implementation of MES/MOM, SCADA and PLC applications.
Plan and facilitate MES functional and integration workshops, translating needs into requirements.
Apply ISA-95 to define boundaries, hierarchies, workflows and interfaces.
Coordinate FAT, SAT, UAT, end-to-end integration testing and defect resolution.
Ensure compliance with Danone standards, OT cybersecurity and OT infrastructure requirements.
Coordinate integration between MES/MOM, PLC/SCADA, ERP, WMS and other systems.
Support cutover, data loading, start-up and operational readiness.
Handover as-built documents, backups, licenses and training materials.
