Qualifications

• A relevant third-level or professional qualification.
• Typically 8+ years’ building services experience in major projects.
• Experience managing engineers and specialist MEP subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of pre-construction, procurement, installation and commissioning.
• Understanding of programme management, commercial interfaces and project risk.
• Strong leadership, communication and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for MEP delivery from pre-construction through to client handover.
• Lead building services input into design reviews, planning and procurement.
• Manage the MEP programme, team resources and specialist subcontractor performance.
• Set priorities for the building services team and monitor delivery against milestones.
• Work with the commercial team on package scope, variations and cost implications.
• Resolve design and coordination issues with consultants, subcontractors and the project team.
• Act as the main point of contact for MEP matters with the client and their representatives.
• Identify delivery risks and agree actions to maintain programme, quality and safety standards.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, verification and client acceptance.
• Ensure completion of handover information, Safety File inputs and BCAR documentation.
