Job summary

Eurofins Biomnis in Ireland is recruiting a Senior Medical Scientist/Senior Biomedical Scientist for the AutoLab in Blood Sciences. Based in Sandyford, Dublin 18, the role rotates through Clinical Chemistry, Immunology, Haematology, Infectious Serology, DOA and Molecular Biology, leading staff and ensuring quality results.

The post requires a Bachelor or Master in Biomedical Science, CORU or HCPC registration, and 5+ years as a basic grade scientist or 2+ years as a senior scientist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Biomedical Science.
• CORU registered as Medical Scientist or HCPC registered as Biomedical Scientist.
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Basic Grade Medical Scientist/Biomedical Scientist or 2 years as Senior Medical Scientist/Senior Biomedical Scientist.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through all AutoLab functions: Clinical Chemistry, Immunology, Haematology, Infectious Serology, DOA and Molecular Biology.
• Lead and coordinate scientific staff and auxiliary personnel within the department.
• Authorise results and ensure accuracy at all times; support ISO 15189 quality management.
• Contribute to EQA completion and timely reporting; participate in quality improvement.
