Job summary

Wallace Myers International in Ireland is seeking a Program Manager to direct the multi-phase product development process for medical devices from concept to market introduction and transfer to manufacturing. You will manage cross-functional projects with NPD, QA, Manufacturing, and Finance.

The role requires strong leadership of Phase Gate Reviews, detailed project planning, budgeting, and ensuring on-time delivery while aligning with customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years post-college experience in medical device design or regulated industries.
• Minimum 3 years of programme/project management experience or PMP certification.
• PMP certification or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the client's primary point of contact for project matters.
• Drive on-time delivery and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed project plans with phases, tasks, interdependencies and costs.
• Lead Phase Gate Reviews and capture lessons learned.
• Manage resources and staffing for assigned projects.
• Maintain project data, time tracking, reporting and status updates.
• Escalate issues and resolve conflicts across project teams.
• Close out projects with post-completion reviews and documentation.
• Communicate roles and accountabilities clearly to team members.
• Ensure compliance with PMO processes and templates; remove barriers.
• Monitor risks, issues, status, and mitigation actions for management.
• Coordinate with functional managers to achieve objectives and on-time delivery.
• Set budgets, track costs against budget, and review invoices.
• Lead day-to-day activity across multiple project teams in a matrix organization.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects for strategic customers.
• Support wider PMO initiatives and coordinate with sub-program managers.
