Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment partners with a manufacturing client in Ireland to hire an experienced Project Manager to join its Global NPD team and drive complex product development projects through to launch.

The role leads cross-functional activities across engineering, regulatory, quality, supply chain and commercial teams and involves travel up to 10%. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business or related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience managing complex, cross-functional product development projects.
• Experience within a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, supplements, cosmetics or a similar environment.
• Strong understanding of NPD and design control processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and levels.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end NPD projects from concept through to commercialisation and launch.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans covering engineering, regulatory, quality, supply chain and commercial activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure accountability for key milestones and deliverables.
• Manage project timelines, critical paths, risks, dependencies and scope changes.Provide clear project updates to senior stakeholders and proactively elevate issues or resource constraints.
• Coordinate regulatory and quality requirements alongside product development timelines.
• Support stage-gate reviews and ensure appropriate documentation and decision-making.
• Coordinate launch readiness and the transition of new products into ongoing operations.
• Manage supplier, regulatory and post-launch changes where required.
• Occasional travel, up to approximately 10%.
