Job summary

Stryker Corporation in Ireland seeks a Senior Design Engineer focusing on the Foot & Ankle/Lower Extremities to design and develop implants and instruments. You will work with surgeons and a multi-disciplinary team to move concepts through design, manufacturing development, and market launch.

You will collaborate across R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to deliver safe, effective medical devices, while solving complex problems with established

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of work experience; cannulated screw design preferred.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical engineering practices and design principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings; GD&T experience.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, modify, and verify components for medical devices.
  • Translate inputs to engineering specifications and produce subsystem designs.
  • Work on complex problems applying advanced practices for problem solving.
  • Prototype and analyze solutions to demonstrate concepts.
  • Follow design requirements and regulatory test strategies.
  • Create or refine engineering documentation such as the Design History File.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, PM to ensure project success.
  • Demonstrate ownership and work with minimal supervision.
