Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to focus on the Foot & Ankle/Lower Extremities market. The role involves mechanical design for implants and instruments used by surgeons, with development from concept through to launch in a multidisciplinary team.

You will research and design components, apply GD&T and CAE tools, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver devices that improve patient outcomes. Ireland pay is competitive, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of work experience, cannulated screw design preferred.
• Experience with mechanical design, drawings, and modeling.
• Ability to read complex drawings and apply GD&T and CAE tools.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, modify, and verify components for medical devices.
• Translate inputs to engineering specs and sub-system designs.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and Regulatory teams to ensure project success.
• Produce design documentation such as Design History File.
• Demonstrate ownership and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
