Job summary

A mechanical engineering contracting company in Fermoy, Cork, is seeking a Foreman to report to the Project Manager and supervise site operations. The role covers timekeeping, staff supervision, subcontractor coordination, and ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budgets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ supervision experience.
• Proficient in MS Office applications – Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Keep to program, within hours and materials budgets.
• Record and implement all variations.
• Monitor progress on site, including timekeeping (arrival, departure, breaks).
• Integrate and supervise the work of subcontractors.
• Be responsible for all on-site staff, ensuring welfare and motivation.
• Maintain company interests at all times.
• Manage materials and plant per Purchasing/Warehouse policy and ensure adequate stock.
• Ensure right personnel are available when needed.
• Complete Pipework Quality Installation Checklist as project progresses and submit to PM.
• Provide feedback to team members, including praise and constructive guidance.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and management requests.
• Complete and submit all paperwork
• Comply with QEHS Management System requirements
• Contribute towards achieving company objectives
