ORS, a leading building consultancy in Ireland, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre to lead independent technical reviews and ensure mission-critical systems are designed, constructed, and commissioned to the highest standards.
You will work with developers, contractors and client stakeholders to review designs, identify risks, and ensure resilience of chilled water, CRAH/AHU, BMS integration and other essential systems across hyperscale data centre projects.
As one of Ireland's most progressive and people-focused building consultancies, we are expanding our team with an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre to support the delivery of major hyperscale data centre developments in Ireland.
This is a unique opportunity to move into a client-facing technical leadership role where your focus is not on producing design drawings, but on ensuring that complex mission-critical infrastructure is designed, constructed and commissioned to the highest standards.
You'll join a multidisciplinary team providing independent technical review, Employer's Representative services, QA/QC oversight, commissioning support and operational readiness services on large-scale data centre developments.
Working directly with developers, contractors, commissioning teams and specialist vendors, you will be a key part of the team protecting design quality, resilience, maintainability and long-term operational performance.
You will provide technical oversight across the full project lifecycle, from design development through construction, commissioning, and handover. Acting as the client's mechanical subject matter expert, you will review designs, identify risks, challenge assumptions, and help ensure mechanical systems are delivered in line with project requirements and operational expectations.
You will work closely with contractors, consultants, commissioning providers, equipment vendors, and client stakeholders to support the successful delivery of mission-critical projects.
Being part of ORS means more than just a job, it means joining a company that invests in you and your ambitions with transparency, structure and support.
We are delighted to offer a suite of benefits when you join ORS, which include:
