About The Role
ORS are seeking a Project Engineer (Structural) to join our growing team, delivering structural engineering projects from concept through to construction. Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial, retail and industrial developments, you will be responsible for technical design, project coordination and client engagement, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to take ownership of projects while continuing to develop their technical and professional expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structural engineering projects from design through to construction and completion.
- Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings and technical reports.
- Develop and coordinate structural models and drawings using Revit, AutoCAD and BIM platforms.
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams throughout project delivery.
- Attend site inspections, monitor construction progress and provide technical support during construction.
- Coordinate project programmes, technical queries and design changes to ensure timely delivery.
- Participate in design coordination meetings using Navisworks and BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Ensure designs comply with relevant Irish Building Regulations, Eurocodes and industry standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact on projects.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant Level 8 structural engineering degree
- Proficient with Revit, Navis Works, AutoCad, BIM360/ACC platforms
- Solid construction/consultancy experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive mindset with a desire to continuously learn and develop
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects in a client facing role
- Team player
- Site based experience
Desirable Requirements
- Chartered or Registered status (or working toward it)
- Previous experience in fast paced retail construction an advantage
