Medtronic plc in Ireland (Galway) seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Released Product Engineering (RPE) team, in a hybrid role with onsite requirements at Parkmore, Galway.

You will plan, develop, and execute testing and analysis, drive improvements in performance, manufacturability, and cost, and ensure design intent across released products. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and external suppliers is a key part of this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (NFQ level 8) or Master’s degree with relevant experience.
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical product development (or 2+ years with a Master’s).
• Experience in medical devices and high-volume manufacturing is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Cross-functional collaboration with program managers, manufacturing and quality.
• Plan, develop, and execute testing and analysis activities during product change implementation.
• Drive improvements in product performance, manufacturability, and cost while maintaining design intent.
