Job summary

M&E Building Services Engineering Consultancy in Dublin seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead building services design across residential, commercial and education projects. You will manage design development from concept to handover, coordinating with clients and design teams while maintaining quality and timelines.

An experienced engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical systems, engage with project stakeholders, and drive practical, compliant designs for a diverse project

Qualifications

• Must have strong experience in mechanical building services design.
• Proven experience designing HVAC, ventilation, heating and public health systems.
• Must be capable of managing mechanical design packages with limited supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and building services standards required.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical building services design across multiple live projects.
• Design HVAC, heating, ventilation, domestic water and public health systems.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, architectural and structural designs.
• Attend client, design team and construction meetings.
• Review drawings and technical submissions.
• Carry out site inspections, snagging and quality reviews.
• Support projects through design, tender, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Manage project deadlines across a varied workload of live projects.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers where required.
