Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the MDM team and work on the D&B Connect platform, enabling customers to cleanse, match and govern master data across web UI, CRM, and data warehouse integrations.

The role focuses on scalable distributed systems, collaboration with product and platform teams, and leveraging AI-enabled tooling to improve development velocity and data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of experience managing and deploying commercial software products.
• Advanced Linux knowledge.
• Strong triaging of data & performance issues with urgency.
• Independent thinker able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven excellence with Java and/or Scala, Python, Spark/PySpark and scripting languages.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives in parallel.
• Proven experience with GCP or AWS.
• Proven experience working on large-scale distributed systems.
• Ownership mindset and proactive collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, distributed software systems and work on other projects that require research, awareness, interactivity and the ability to ask the right questions.
• Design, develop, debug, support, maintain and test software applications.
• Collaborate with product, data, and platform teams to transform business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Assist SME in providing consultation to help ensure new and existing software solutions are developed with industry best practices.
• Help improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews.
• Identify, plan and ensure successful incremental execution of application modernization, re-platform and refactoring efforts.
• Recognize opportunities for continuous improvement to a technology solution including performance optimization and tech debt reduction.
• Partner with SRE team to deploy and manage data infrastructure on cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
• Demonstrate strong customer focus and end-to-end ownership, including incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Proactively improve quality through collaboration, automation, process improvement and innovative thinking.
• Leverage AI-enabled development tools to improve engineering productivity, software quality, development velocity, and operational efficiency.
