Job summary

Amazon AWS Rack Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to own and evolve the end-to-end test ecosystem for enterprise-class hardware, including servers and rack integration. You will develop production test software, automate tests, and drive uptime and yield improvements across a multi-location manufacturing network.

The role requires collaboration with hardware design, firmware, and process engineering, plus hands-on development of test fixtures and strategies to scale testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• Experience programming in at least one modern language (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby).
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).

Responsibilities

• Own and Support the Test Ecosystem: Architect, develop, and maintain the manufacturing test infrastructure for AI server hardware.
• Build and Scale Test Software: Design and maintain production test software and automation frameworks.
• Drive Automation & Self-Remedy: Develop automated test processes and self-healing capabilities.
• Define Test Strategy: Establish modular test strategies, pass/fail limits, and SPC controls.
• Analyze Production Data: Compile and analyze test data to identify trends and root causes.
• Own Uptime & Yield: Monitor yield, lead triage for test-station failures, and drive quality reviews.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work with hardware design, firmware, process engineering, quality, and operations.
• Guide Fixture & Infrastructure Design: Partner on test fixture design and procurement.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI): Support test solutions for new product builds.
• Sustain & Improve: Provide ongoing support for deployed test systems and documentation.
• Provide Feedback Upstream: Deliver design-for-test feedback to improve testability.
