Job summary

Dawn Farms is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Engineering Department in Naas, Co. Kildare. The role delivers strategic plans to optimize manufacturing processes, sources new equipment, and drives capital projects to support growth and efficiency.

We require 5+ years in manufacturing, strong Lean, KPI focus, and a proven track record in mentoring teams while meeting budget and schedule in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company.
• Degree certified in mechanical/manufacturing engineering.
• Proficient intermediate skills in Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Intermediate/Advanced level in AutoCAD.
• Strong background in software engineering.
• Experience managing budgets to strict guidelines with proven success on payback.
• Ability to apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve processes and systems.
• Proven KPI delivery and leadership in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the value stream engineering function for capacity improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate continuous improvement of equipment and processes to support new product introduction.
• Develop strategic plans to accommodate planned production increases.
• Act as main interface between S&I and Operations to implement process changes.
• Guide development of new methodologies, materials, machines, and processes.
• Integrate new designs into production and manage commissioning to validate success.
• Develop department KPIs and report monthly results.
• Manage and develop production engineering team, ensuring high standards and task completion.
