Job summary

Abbott Ireland Vascular Division in Clonmel seeks a Production Lead to oversee daily operations, manage staffing, and ensure manufacturing processes meet SOPs, GMP, and quality standards.

You will develop training plans, monitor budgets, and coach supervisors while coordinating labor, materials and equipment to maximise productivity.

A NFQ level 7 qualification and several years of experience in a quality system environment are expected; a strong focus on continuous improvement is required.

Qualifications

• NFQ level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline and 6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Works in a quality system environment and adheres to GMP, FDA/BSI and related regulations.
• Develops and identifies new work processes and improvements in resources and processes.

Responsibilities

• Implements staffing plans and coordinates with HR for changes.
• Develops direct reports through training and performance reviews.
• Monitors daily operations and guides supervisors and staff to achieve goals.
• Interacts with internal/external customers and explains procedures.
• Ensures SOPs, DOPs, MPI, JIT and GMP are followed.
• Contributes to policy development and cost control in the area.
