Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment in Cork invites applications for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer on a 12-month contract. The role acts as a SME in technical, engineering, automation, or business process areas, reporting to the site management team to develop and implement the site’s future-state strategy and drive innovation and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in an engineering or science field, has at least four years of manufacturing experience, and may have CNC experience

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant Engineering or Science discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Production etc.) or technical experience equivalency.
• Minimum of 4 years’ manufacturing experience
• CNC experience advantageous
• Recognised Lean qualification

Responsibilities

• Contribute and input into Engineering functional strategy.
• Champion operations excellence across the site.
• Plans and conducts engineering research design.
• Plans and conducts significant engineering and lean initiatives.
• Standardises and optimises best practices and procedures across sites.
• Co-ordinates with other unit’s vendors and senior managers as needed to ensure specific cost, time and regulatory standards are met.
• Communicates with business partners to resolve process and product issues.
• Evaluates the results of projects and provides manufacturing guidance and assistance as required
