Job summary

Sunset Hospitality Group is seeking a Senior M&E Technician for METT Singapore. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems throughout the hotel, ensuring lighting and HVAC equipment operate reliably.

You will assist in designing a preventive maintenance program, perform minor repairs in guest rooms and public areas, read schematics, and support a cooperative team under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of proven working experience in a similar position.
• Basic English language.
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Positive and high energy level.
• Highly cooperative team spirit.
• Ability to work in a high stress, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in designing a preventive maintenance program.
• Carry out minor repairs in guest rooms or public areas.
• Service and repair electrical and mechanical equipment such as motors, switchgear, wiring, and HVAC systems.
• Carry out masonry works for walls, beams, posts, floors and tiles.
• Clear blockages in sewer and waste pipes and grease interceptor system.
• Repair flushing systems, basins, and air-conditioning waste pipes; clean grease traps.
• Assist other technicians on tasks within and outside hotel premises.
