Job summary

Wellington Professional Recruitment seeks a Senior M&E Resident Engineer (Water & Wastewater) for on-site delivery across the Kerry region on major water and wastewater projects. You will supervise works, administer contracts, and support HSQE on site.

We require a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree and 10+ years in site engineering or resident roles, with strong collaboration with authorities and contractors. Van and fuel card provided. Travel across Waterford/Wexford region as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 10+ years of post-graduate site engineering or resident engineering experience.
• Experience with water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Strong HSQE knowledge and site safety focus.
• Proven ability to work with contractors, design teams and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site supervision and management across water and wastewater treatment works.
• Ensure delivery in full compliance with contract requirements and legislation.
• Collaborate with Local Authorities and project stakeholders to support delivery.
• Carry out HSQE audits and manage HSQE issues on site.
• Maintain project trackers and reporting for documentation and traceability.
• Support Design Engineers with site feedback and technical input.
• Attend and manage meetings with contractors and stakeholders, updating Regional Leads.
• Address complaints and site issues with timely resolutions.
• Create snag lists and sign off completed works to required standards.
• Conduct pre-construction site visits to identify risks and communicate findings.
