Job summary

Mowlam Healthcare in Sligo is seeking an Activities Coordinator to support residents in daily activities under nursing staff supervision. You will help maintain privacy and dignity while promoting engagement.

Responsibilities include planning daily/weekly activity programmes, coordinating events, and keeping Life Story Books up to date. The role requires empathetic communication, a caring approach, and fluent English; Garda vetting and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in a care/nursing setting.
• Desirable Sonas & Imagination Gym courses.
• Strong communication skills and fluent written/spoken English.
• Empathetic, enthusiastic and reliable team player.

Responsibilities

• Organise and maintain daily activities for residents.
• Plan special activities and events for residents.
• Record activities and maintain Life Story Books.
• Liaise with nursing staff and orient new residents.
• Escort duties as required and support on-site activities.
